‘At present, the company has a market share of eight per cent under battery inverters. Launch of four battery inverter models are in the pipeline during the next three to four months,’ Mr Shukla said.
‘We are currently utilising 60 per cent of our installed production capacity. It will be raised to 75 per cent during the fiscal to meet the company’s desired objective in terms of market share,’ he added.

Luminous Power Technologies General Manager Amit Shukla today told Indiablooms.com over phone that the company also aimed at grabbing a market share of 18 per cent under battery inverters during the current fiscal.
The manufacturing units of the company are located at Baddi and Gagret in Himachal Pradesh, with daily installed output capacities of 5,500 battery inverters and 7,500 inverters, respectively.

The company also planned to set up another unit at Gagret for producing SNS batteries, the GM said and declined to divulge further details in this regard.
Moreover, Luminous Power Technologies would recruit 150 sales personnel in the next three to four months and the current headcount stands at 180 in this regard, according to him.
The use of inverter
‘The company notched up a turnover of Rs 650 crore during the past fiscal and such figure was assessed at Rs 533 crore in 2007-08. We are eyeing a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore this fiscal,’ Mr Shukla said.
The company is having 7,000 authorised dealers and 12,000 distributors across the country.
